ARTIST OF THE MONTH: DECEMBER 2017
Keiko Shintani was born in Japan in 1944. In 1967, she recieved her BA in English and American literature from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. In 1968 she graduated from the insitute of the Kurashiki Museum of Folkcraft, where she studied traditional dyeing, spinning and weaving. She immigrated to Canada in 1973. Since then, she has been teaching weaving and Japanese lanuage as well as exhibiting her work in Canada.
