Hand Woven Ribbon Shawl (INDIA)

Original Price:

Handmade in a small village in India, this fair trade scarf is produced on an oblong wooden frame with nails hammered in around the edge.  Many families cannot afford even a rudimentary weaving loom, but with a days training, four pieces of wood and a box of nail, they can earn a wage making these scarves.

When you buy on of these pieces, you are heelping some of the poorest families in Bhagalpur Bihar, India.
